Subsidiaries of San Diego-based Sempra Energy and Australia’s Woodside Petroleum have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with South Korea’s Kogas for the development of the proposed Port Arthur LNG project in Texas.
The MOU covers engineering and construction, operations and maintenance, feed gas sourcing, and LNG offtake. It establishes Kogas as an equity participant and potential LNG buyer, Sempra said in a statement on Thursday.
