Woodside and Sempra subsidiaries sign Port Arthur MOU with Kogas

Sempra Energy and Australia’s Woodside Petroleum have signed an MOU with South Korea’s Kogas for development of the proposed Port Arthur LNG project.

Subsidiaries of San Diego-based Sempra Energy and Australia’s Woodside Petroleum have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with South Korea’s Kogas for the development of the proposed Port Arthur LNG project in Texas.

The MOU covers engineering and construction, operations and maintenance, feed gas sourcing, and LNG offtake. It establishes Kogas as an equity participant and potential LNG buyer, Sempra said in a statement on Thursday.
