EBRD to allocate $250 mln to boost renewables in Kazakhstan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry to allocate up to $250 million for renewable energy projects.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry to allocate up to $250 million for renewable energy projects in the Central Asian country, the Energy Ministry’s press office said in a statement on Wednesday.

An additional $480 million will be raised from other international financial organisations.
