Hubei Energy signs deal to build new gas-fired power plant

Hubei Energy, the gas distributor for central China’s Hubei province, has signed a framework agreement to build a gas-fired power plant in the provincial capital, Wuhan.

Hubei Energy, the gas distributor for central China’s Hubei province, has signed a framework agreement to build a gas-fired power plant in an economic and technology development zone in the provincial capital, Wuhan.

Hubei Energy will spend RMB 4 billion ($587 million) to build the plant, which will be linked to the province’s gas pipeline network.

Construction will begin no later than six months after winning local government approval and will be completed within two years.
