Bangladesh is seeking $1 billion in financial support from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for six projects, most of which are in the energy sector, according to The Financial Express.

The country received approval from the AIIB for two loans last year; one was to upgrade the country’s electricity distribution system, and the second was to expand its gas supply system.
