Spanish giant Repsol will invest around $1 billion until 2021 to explore gas fields in southern Bolivia, the company’s Chief Executive Antonio Brufau said after a meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales on Wednesday.
Around $500 million will be invested to maintain gas production in the Margarita-Huacaya field, while $350-500 million will be spent on three new exploration wells in the Boyui and Iguasu fields, Brufau said.
