TransCanada moves ahead with Nova Gas pipeline expansion

Calgary-based TransCanada is moving forward with the expansion to its $2 billion Nova Gas Transmission Ltd pipeline.

Calgary-based TransCanada is moving forward with the expansion to its $2 billion Nova Gas Transmission Ltd (NGTL) pipeline.

The NGTL project is part of a $5.1 billion programme to increase pipeline capacity in the Montney and Deep Basin regions in western Canada. The plans for new capacity are supported by contracts with producers to deliver up to 85 million cubic metres per day, TransCanada announced on Wednesday.

The NGTL expansion includes 273 km of new pipelines and related facilities. TransCanada plans to start construction in early 2019...
