Atlantic LNG, the company that oversees Trinidad & Tobago’s liquefaction plant, is planning to cut its staff by 7% amid ongoing gas shortages that have hit LNG production.
"Atlantic is facing the toughest period in its 20-year history," the company said in a statement on Tuesday. "Global LNG prices remain at depressed levels and at the same time, Atlantic continues to suffer from unprecedented levels of gas supply shortfall."
Shortages have resulted in utilisation rates of less than 70% over the past two years, the company added....
