Petrobangla has selected Switzerland-based AOT Energy to secure LNG supplies to fuel Bangladesh’s first floating LNG facility from mid-2018.
FSRU developer Excelerate Energy will build the vessel, with imports scheduled to start in May 2018.
State-run Petrobangla has signed preliminary deals for two more regas facilities with India’s Petronet and Bangladeshi company Summit.
The Summit project will also use an FSRU and will see the company joining Excelerate as an equity investment partner.
The terminal is expected to supply 14.2 million cubic metres of gas per day....
