Wentworth begins farm-in process in northern Mozambique

Wentworth Resources has started the process to farm into the Tembo 1 gas asset in the Rovuma Basin in northern Mozambique.

Wentworth Resources has started the process to farm into the Tembo 1 gas asset in the Rovuma Basin in northern Mozambique, the company announced in an operational update.

Wentworth will acquire an 85% interest alongside state-owned Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos. The company has already completed seismic surveys and is undertaking further appraisal work.

Wentworth plans to drill an appraisal well in the second quarter of next year with an as-yet unsecured industry partner.

Tembo is expected to contain around 48 billion cubic metres of gas reserves.
