Volumes of Russian gas destined for European customers transiting Ukraine increased over the first five months of 2017 compared with the same period last year, according to data from Naftogaz Ukrainy.

Ukraine has transported 38.26 billion cubic metres of Gazprom’s gas across its territory since the start of the year, the company said. This is 6.86 bcm, or 22%, more than the same period in 2016, and 14.90 bcm, or 64%, more than the same period in 2015.
