Indonesian companies to buy Masela gas for power and industry

Indonesian state power company PLN and fertiliser company PT Pupuk Indonesia will purchase gas from the Masela Block development.

Indonesian state power company PLN and fertiliser company PT Pupuk Indonesia will purchase gas from the Masela Block development, according to Katadata.

A 300 MW power plant will be built in the Masela area that will use around 1.7 million cubic metres per day of gas.

PLN has suggested it is willing to work with private companies to build additional power plants to meet the needs of industries that will be built where the gas comes ashore, including fertiliser and methanol plants.
