The government of the Malaysian state of Sarawak is set to establish a state-owned company to work with NOC Petronas to explore and develop resources in the state’s territorial waters, according to Free Malaysia Today.

The regional government has decided to take a more significant stake in the industry within its own region.

This is in addition to a call for oil royalties to be increased to 20%.
