US EIA lowers 2017 gas production outlook

The United States Energy Information Administration revised its 2017 gas production outlook downwards to reflect the drop in gas prices last month.

The United States Energy Information Administration (EIA) revised its 2017 gas production outlook downwards to reflect the drop in gas prices last month.

Domestic gas production in the US is forecast to average 2.1 billion cubic metres per day in 2017, a 28.3 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) increase from 2016 levels, the EIA said in its latest monthly Short-Term Energy Outlook.
