Origin Energy to sell Darling Downs pipeline network

Australian gas producer Origin Energy has agreed to sell its Darling Downs pipeline network for A$392 million (US$292 million) to Jemena Gas Pipeline Holdings, Origin announced in a release.

Jemena is an energy infrastructure company jointly owned by State Grid of China and Singapore Power. Origin said the deal increased sales from its asset divestment programme announced in September 2015 to A$1 billion, higher than the original A$800 million target.
