Rosneft and Beijing Gas consider cooperation on LNG supplies

Rosneft and China’s Beijing Gas are considering cooperating on shipments of LNG, the Russian state oil major said in a presentation.

"The parties are also considering further cooperation – supplies of LNG from Rosneft," the presentation stated.

Rosneft’s chief executive, Igor Sechin, said that Beijing Gas’s acquisition of a stake in Verkhnechonskneftegaz (VCNG) opens up broad opportunities for the development of cooperation for Rosneft to export gas to China.
