China should cut urban transport and distribution fees to reduce end-user gas tariffs, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said in a State Council meeting on Wednesday.
The cut is forecast to deliver a RMB 120 billion ($17.4 billion) reduction in operating costs for firms.
"It is clear that the National Development and Reform Commission requires local governments to adjust the urban distribution and transportation fees for gas to bring down end-sales tariffs this year," said analysts at NSBO Research.
