Thailand’s LNG demand will double over the next five years, according to Tevin Vongvanich, chief executive of Thailand’s PTT.

Declining domestic production, coupled with the expiry of its import contracts with Myanmar, will make Thailand increasingly reliant on LNG imports, Vongvanich told CNBC.

PTT is looking to invest in expanding Thailand’s LNG import capacity.
