Gas production in the United States is forecast to average 2.1 billion cubic metres per day in 2017, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Gas production in the United States is forecast to average 2.1 billion cubic metres per day in 2017, an increase of 51 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) from 2016, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

"This increase reverses a 2016 production decline, which was the first annual decline since 2005," the EIA wrote in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, which was published on Tuesday.
