Nigeria’s government could hike national power tariffs under a new plan, according to a report by The Daily Trust.
The Power Sector Recovery Plan outlines three main options to help revive the power sector: freezing power tariffs until 2021; increasing all tariffs by 2018; or increasing tariffs as early as July this year. A fourth option would be to increase tariffs by as much as 50% for industrial customers only.
