Gazprom ready to bring in JV partner for Tambei fields

Gazprom has completed its exploration of the Tambei fields on Russia’s Yamal peninsula and is ready to bring in a joint venture partner to develop the acreage.

Gazprom has completed its exploration of the Tambei fields on Russia’s Yamal peninsula and is ready to bring in a joint venture partner to develop the acreage, Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Gazprom may select a Russian company as its partner, Miller added.

Russian gas producer Novatek has confirmed it is prepared to consider creating or joining a partnership to develop LNG projects using gas from the Tambei fields.
