The European gas network is sufficiently robust for gas stocks to reach 90% of capacity before winter, a recent study has concluded. 

The research was carried out by the Brussels-based European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSOG). The modelling covered a range of scenarios with a reference case targeting 90% storage levels by 30 September.

The model assumed European exports to Ukraine and Turkey would be unchanged from summer 2015 and summer 2016, which averaged 23.8 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) to Ukraine and 25.9...
