Japanese companies are ready to take part in the third train of Russia’s Sakhalin 2 LNG project as both buyers and investors, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said.
"We plan to expand the project with a third stage, and the Japanese partners have confirmed they are interested firstly in buying the project’s liquefied gas and secondly in financing the project," Novak told the Rossiya 24 TV channel following a meeting of the Russian-Japanese advisory board on energy in Tokyo.
