Summit group plans $2 bln investment in Bangladeshi power

Summit Group is committed to investing $2 billion in Bangladesh, primarily in gas-fired power projects and the infrastructure to support them, according to The Daily Star.

The company recently completed the 115 MW Barisal power plant and the 55 MW Narayanganj plant.

It also has committed to building a 115 MW plant in Gazipur and a floating LNG terminal to supply it with gas.

Summit is now raising money for these projects.
