New coastal LNG storage to be built in Porto Marghera

A JV has completed the feasibility study for the construction of a 32 Mcm coastal LNG storage site in Porto Marghera, Venice.

A joint venture of coastal terminal management company Decal and fuel terminal operator San Marco Petroli has completed the feasibility study for the construction of a 32 thousand cubic metre (Mcm) coastal LNG storage site in Porto Marghera, Venice, with ship bunkering and tanker truck refuelling facilities, Decal said in a statement on Wednesday.

The terminal will have a berth for LNG carriers from 7.5-30.0 Mcm in size – which will also be suitable for ships up to 65.0 Mcm in ordinary weather conditions...
