The European Commission has approved Duferco’s proposed acquisition of sole control over a business unit of Energhe, it said on Thursday.
Both companies are based in Italy, and the Energhe unit is mainly active in the supply of gas and electricity.
Duferco controls companies active in different sectors – including steel, energy and shipping, the commission said.
