Landowners in Papua New Guinea’s Hela province are still waiting to receive the benefits they were promised from the startup of the PNG LNG project, according to Radio New Zealand.

Delays and inaction over the payment of royalties have made the landowners lose trust in the government.

They are therefore now looking to purchase an equity stake in the project to have more control.
