Malaysia’s Petronas hopes to gain from leasing agreements once contracts under the new Gas Supply Act 2016 come into force later this year, according to The Nation.

The act allows third-party access to Petronas’s regasification and transmission infrastructure, but details on implementation and tariff rates are still being decided by Malaysia’s Energy Commission.

Petronas has said it supports the liberalisation and hopes to benefit from the higher utilisation of its infrastructure and tariffs.
