The port authority of Naples will issue a request for expressions of interest in building a storage site with LNG bunkering facilities on Italy’s Mediterranean coast by 2017.
The announcement was made by Pietro Spirito, president of the Central Tyrrhenian Port System Authority, during a conference in Rome on Wednesday and was reported by ConferenzaGNL, a thinktank that promotes the development of the LNG facilities in the Mediterranean area.
