IOG to buy Thames Gas Pipeline in Southern North Sea

Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) has signed a sales-and-purchase agreement to acquire the Thames Gas Pipeline in the Southern North Sea from Perenco UK, Tullow Oil SK and Centrica Resources, IOG said in a statement on Tuesday.

 The pipeline, which has been recently decommissioned, will be used to export gas from the Blythe and Vulcan satellite hubs to the Bacton gas terminal. The estimated initial capacity of the 24-inch pipeline is 8.5 million cubic metres per day.
