Borealis Infrastructure, the infrastructure investment manager of Canadian pension fund OMERS, has signed an agreement to purchase a 34.6% stake in Chilean LNG terminal operator GNL Quintero. The other shareholders are Enagás and Chilean state-owned energy company Empresa Nacional del Petróleo.
"[GNL Quintero] is one of the most relevant terminals in the region, providing critical regasification and storage capacity to central Chile," said Ralph Berg, executive vice president and global head of infrastructure at OMERS.
