By Staff reporter 6 April 2017

Australia’s Origin Energy plans to invite bids for its conventional oil and gas assets, according to a Bloomberg report.

Information on the assets, which are located in Australia and New Zealand, will be sent to potential buyers – including Beach Energy, which has already expressed interest.

Origin’s conventional exploration and production business could be valued at A$1.8-1.9 billion (US$1.36-1.44 billion) including debt, according to RBC Capital Markets.
