France’s Engie plans to buy LNG from Russia’s Yamal project in 2018, Engie Global LNG Chief Executive Phillip Olivier told Interfax on the sidelines of the Gastech 2017 conference in Tokyo.

Engie will take delivery of the LNG at its Montoir-de-Bretagne terminal. Engie’s LNG portfolio amounted to 16 mt in 2016, but incidents of force majeure in Yemen and Egypt reduced this 12.5 mt, Olivier said.
