Itaúsa Investimentos buys stake in Brazilian pipeline company

Brazilian conglomerate Itaúsa Investimentos said in a securities filing on Tuesday that it has bought a 7.65% stake in gas pipeline unit Nova Transportadora do Sudeste (NTS) for $292.3 million, according to Reuters.

Canada’s Brookfield Infrastructure bought a 90% stake in NTS – which oversees 2,048 km of gas transmission assets in southeastern Brazil – in September 2016.
