Belarus has agreed to repay Russia money it owes for gas supplies in return for discounted volumes.

Belarus has agreed to repay Russia money it owes for gas supplies in return for discounted volumes.

"I can confirm once again that we have agreed to correct, on certain terms, some of our intergovernmental documents, concerning the relations in the oil and gas sphere, and that once they are signed Belarus will return the underpaid sum to Gazprom," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told journalists.

Dvorkovich refused to give details of the discount Gazprom will offer, which will be effective from 2018.
