Xiamen using WEP III gas

By Staff reporter 3 April 2017

Xiamen in Fujian province has started utilising gas from the third West-East Pipeline (WEP III) following the launch of a city-gate station, local media has reported.

The station, owned and operated by Xiamen China Resources Gas, is the terminus for a 535-km pipeline that links Xiamen to WEP III.

Xiamen China Resources Gas will also build an LNG emergency storage tank.

The connection will expand Xiamen’s gas supply sources beyond China National Offshore Oil Corp.’s LNG terminal in nearby Putian.
