Yamal LNG to start up this year – Mikhelson

Novatek Chief Executive Leonid Mikhelson is confident the first train at Yamal LNG will start up this year, he said while speaking at a ceremony to mark the arrival of the first LNG tanker at the port of Sabetta.

Mikhelson told journalists startup preparations for such a major project may take up to nine months.

"It is fairly difficult to say how much time we will spend on startup work, but there is confidence that we will finish this year," he said.
