Shell plans to drill 161 new wells in the Australian state of Queensland by the end of 2018 to continue supplying 10% of the country’s domestic market, the company has said.
The announcement follows meetings between Shell Australia and ExxonMobil to discuss how to increase gas supplies to meet potential shortages forecast within the next two years.
