US proposes end to ban on fracking federal lands

The administration of United States President Donald Trump has proposed withdrawing a 2015 regulation limiting fracking on federal lands, which the Interior Department outlined in court filings on Wednesday.

The department will "soon" be issuing a notice in the Federal Register to announce that it will be rescinding the rule and writing a new one, The Washington Post reported.
