Venezuela to export gas via Shell’s Hibiscus platform

Venezuela’s state-owned PDVSA has agreed a deal with Shell and Trinidad & Tobago’s state-owned National Gas Co. to export gas to the Anglo-Dutch major.

Venezuela’s state-owned PDVSA has agreed a deal with Shell and Trinidad & Tobago’s state-owned National Gas Co. (NGC) to export gas to the Anglo-Dutch major, local news has reported.

Shell signed the deal following a state-to-state agreement with the Venezuelan government in December 2016.

Venezuela will deliver gas from its offshore Dragón field to Shell’s Hibiscus platform offshore Trinidad and will load LNG from Trinidad’s 14 mtpa Atlantic LNG facility, in which Shell is the majority shareholder.
