Edinburgh-based Bowleven, a company focused on exploration in sub-Saharan Africa, has removed five directors from its board, the BBC has reported.
The company is leading development of the Etinde gas field in Cameroon but progress has been slow, partly because of a disagreement between Bowleven and the country’s government on how the gas should be used.
Bowleven and field operator NewAge missed the FID date of 2016 on Etinde, but financial close is expected this year.
