TransCanada has concluded new long-term contracts with gas producers in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) to deliver up to 42.5 million cubic metres per day from Alberta to southern Ontario’s Dawn Hub via the Canadian Mainline pipeline.
WCSB producers have been looking for alternative outlets to market their gas, the quantity of which exceeds demand in Western Canada.
Calgary-based TransCanada revised its recent proposal for shipping capacity on the Mainline system after weeks of consultations with producers.
