Chinese gas production holds steady in 2017

China’s gas output in the first two months of 2017 was unchanged from a year ago, at 25.1 billion cubic metres, while crude oil output declined by 8% year on year, to 31.4 mt, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.

Fixed asset investment in oil and gas exploitation surged by 95.3% year on year, to RMB 12 billion ($1.8 billion).
