Gazprom is discussing the development of upstream projects with Iran, according to the co-chairman of the Russia-Iran intergovernmental commission.

Gazprom is discussing the development of upstream projects with Iran, according to the co-chairman of the Russia-Iran intergovernmental commission, Mahmoud Vaezi.

"Regarding gas, we are mainly discussing investment in certain specific projects. Gazprom is holding talks on this subject with Iran," he said.

The specific projects will be determined at the end of the talks," Vaezi said. Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said an Iranian delegation will visit Russia on 27 March to present a contract to Russian companies.
