China National Offshore Oil Corp. has diverted the Maran Gas Amphipolis LNG carrier to its Ningbo LNG terminal in Zhejiang to meet elevated gas demand in the province.
A power line carrying electricity from Sichuan broke down at the end of February, leaving Zhejiang with a power shortfall of 6 GW.
The carrier docked on Saturday and finished unloading its 69,000-ton cargo the same day.
The gas will be enough to generate 500 GWh of power and supply 1 million households in Zhejiang for a month....
