Ukraine starts storage injections

Ukraine has started loading 4.5 million cubic metres of gas per day into its underground storage facilities after siphoning reserves.

Ukraine has started loading 4.5 million cubic metres of gas per day into its underground storage facilities after siphoning reserves, according to a post published on Facebook on Saturday by Maxim Belyavsky, Ukrtransgaz spokesman.

According to the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN, as of 4 March reserves in Ukrainian underground gas storage sites amounted to 8.2 billion cubic metres.

On 7 March, Ukrtransgaz launched a new tender for procurement of 2.2 bcm of gas and fuel gas to be delivered in April-December 2017.
