Oil India has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Houston to collaborate on the development of enhanced oil recovery techniques using carbon dioxide, according to The Indian Express.
The technology is needed to reduce India’s carbon footprint while also making the most of the country’s oil and gas resources.
The agreement was signed on 7 March by Utpal Bora, Oil India’s chairman and managing director, and Renu Khator of the University of Houston.
