Japan’s Marubeni looking to invest in Bangladeshi LNG terminal

Japan’s Marubeni is keen to invest in an LNG terminal in the city of Chittagong in Bangladesh, according to The Financial Express.

The terminal would be jointly constructed by Marubeni and Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corp. and would import gas from Malaysia.

Shoji Kuwayama, Marubeni’s ASEAN and Southeast Asian affairs executive, held a meeting with Bangladesh’s industries minister, Amir Hossain Amu, this week.
