Inpex signs deal with Aussie union

Japan’s Inpex has signed a works contract with the Maritime Union of Australia, according to Offshore Technology.

Japan’s Inpex has signed a works contract with the Maritime Union of Australia, according to Offshore Technology.

The deal will support up to 2,000 jobs in Australia and sets out the terms for training and development of maritime personnel to support the Ichthys LNG project. The arrangement aims to improve the skills and expertise of Australian workers in the offshore oil and gas sector.
