Chilly Argentina hopes for Chilean gas supplies

Argentina is again seeking to import gas and power from its neighbour Chile during the southern hemisphere winter.

Argentina is again seeking to import gas and power from its neighbour Chile during the southern hemisphere winter, according to Argentine newspaper El Cronista.

Chilean state-run company ENAP would offer Argentina "the same [gas] supply as last year", Chilean Energy Minister Andrés Rebolledo told journalists in Buenos Aires on Friday.

Argentina topped up its gas imports during the winter months of 2016 with regasified fuel that arrived as six LNG cargoes at GNL Quintero and Mejillones, Chile’s two terminals.
