Chinese official calls for greater cooperation with Russia

Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli has called for more research between China and Russia on pipeline gas supplies along a western route and Far East supply projects.

Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli met Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller in Beijing on Wednesday, and called for more research between China and Russia on pipeline gas supplies along a western route and Far East supply projects.

Zhang said Beijing and Moscow should expand cooperation in gas-fired power generation, underground storage, transport fuel and other areas.
